About

Derick Williamson and Hailey Danz began their partnership as coach and athlete in 2017.

Over the course of eight years, they navigated the highs and lows of elite sport -- the heartbreak of falling short of goals, and the triumph of fulfilling personal potential. Along the way, they gained a deeper understanding of resilience, discipline, belief systems, vulnerability, and the power of a true team.

Ostensibly, their work together culminated at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, where Hailey fulfilled her hard fought goal of winning a gold medal and Derick became the most decorated coach in Paratriathlon history.

In the aftermath of the Games, they realized their work together wasn't over. Both Derick and Hailey were building their speaking careers separately, but they came to see their combined voice was far more powerful. The lessons they learned in the trenches of training transcended sport, and they knew those lessons would resonate with leaders and teams across domains. Their dual perspectives of coach and athlete told a more complete story, and their on-stage synergy offered a real-world example of healthy collaboration in action.

They created Envoi (derived from Old French and translating to "message") to share their message of challenge and success with a wider audience.
